I’ve been in New York for the last week. Here's a slick selfie with the Manhattan skyline as proof: Last Friday, I tried to get into a New York bar with my friend, and the bouncer told us “yeah, this is a private party”. Apparently, that's code for: “You guys are underdressed and look like losers”. So Their loss. The bouncer had no idea he was denying entry to a legendary YouTube coach, with a missing finger and a funny name. But while in New York, I had dinner with an entrepreneur friend. His YouTube business has gone from nothing to 7 figures in the last two years. Absolutely insane. We were talking about how it’s going and all the problems he’s got right now in the business. And for some reason in that moment it really hit me: it never ends. I've had this realisation before a few times, but it just struck something. At every level of business, there are new problems. And generally the more revenue increases, the bigger and more stressful your problems can become (not always, but often). My friend even reminisced about the “good old days” when his business first blew up and he was making $10-20k/month. He had fewer team members, a shorter list of problems and the business was less complicated. (He’s not wishing he hadn’t expanded, just that there’s something magical about that first stage of success). This resonated because over the last few years I’ve set and achieved many interesting goals I had for myself. At each of these milestones, I thought “imagine if I actually did that, that'd be so sick”:
Blah blah on it goes. I’m 29, and in my wise old age it’s becoming clearer to me that life is a never ending video game. And when you reach a new level, you celebrate for a bit, but then forget about it within a few days maximum. And you move on to new problems at the next level. So what’s it all for? Why do I keep going? Because it's all so interesting! I am so curious about what’s possible. About what I can do, what impact I can have and what challenges I can overcome. That’s what motivates me. If you choose the right video game, and play it in the right way, each level is more fun than the next. And if you get to a level you don’t like, chances are you can go back. For me, the journey is all about choosing to work on meaningful problems I want to help solve, with people I like and respect, and learning about who I am along the way. Sure, it sounds a bit cliche, but it gets me out of bed in the morning. I like helping educators all around the world educate more people. I think it’s a meaningful use of my time. And in the process, I enjoy the challenge at every level of the video game. Which is a total privilege too. To be in a position to take risks and do hard things. But I try my best to move forwards these days knowing that problems are never ending. My friend reminded me of that. YouTube, business and life are just one big infinite game of whack-a-mole. Except the moles are thumbnails. And instead of a hammer you have Canva. Or something like that. Tintin 🫡 P.s. Exciting news! If you want to start or grow your YouTube channel, I have an offer you might like from a fellow legendary YouTube coach. Last year, I helped the incredible Aprilynne Alter run a $125k launch in her own business with a 6 month programme helping YouTubers take their channels to the next level. It was epic, but she’s back again with an even better (and more affordable) product. 12 Weeks. 3 Phases. 1 Massive Breakthrough. You can check out more details and sign up to the waitlist here. (And if the investment is too much for you right now, keep an eye out on my emails over the next month or so as I have something fun and free in the works). Bloody hell, it’s Q2. I never used to think or care about quarters, but now that I’m a fully fledged Business Bro, I have to. It’s in the manual you get given at Business Bro initiation. Along with the requirements to go gym and make content. But I'm excited about Q2, because we’ve just ticked off a big project in the business, and freed up a lot of time. I started 2026 thinking I was going to go all in on content to grow my audience. And that’s what I did...for about 2 weeks. Something felt...
Quick note before we dive in, I'm launching a Spring cohort of my coaching programme The $100k YouTuber this Monday April 6th. There's limited spots, if you'd like to book a call to talk about whether it's right for you, you can do so here. "Repeat the same activities. Repeat the same outcomes." This is one of my favourite Hormozi quotes I've been dwelling on recently. It's taken on a new meaning for me. For a long time, I only understood this intellectually. "Sure, if I repeat the same...
