A few years ago, I read an amazing book. It's called The Go-Giver, by John Mann and Bob Burg. It's a very easy to read short story (roughly 100 pages) about a guy called Joe. Joe was a "go-getter", the type of person to go out and make life happen. And ultimately, to get more of what he wanted. As you can probably guess by the name, the book is about how giving more is actually the secret to Joe finding true success. A common theme in the business/self-help book world. It's clichéd, but true. And whenever I'm weighing up a business decision, this book isn't far from my mind. So when I thought about sharing my Thumbnail Masterclass course for free, it became a no brainer. I made the course in 2024, and people still buy it to this day with barely any promotion from me. I'm very proud of it. This is the landing page. But it's not how I make money anymore. And it will help many more YouTubers grow their channels and increase their impact if it's available for free. So if you want to, you can watch the course for free inside my community. BUT you need to have 5 likes on a comment or post to unlock it. Which is genuinely very easy to achieve, and incentivises some nice wholesome vibes in the group. Happy thumbnailing. Tintin 🫡 P.s. While you're at it, get a copy of The Go-Giver. I suggested it to a friend 4 years ago and he recently mentioned it on a podcast interview that it was one of the best business books he's ever read. |

This morning at 8am, I walked around Highbury Fields in London. A pic from last Winter I often do this before starting a day's work. I grab a coffee and ponder life's big questions, while getting some steps in. As the sun rises on a beautiful day, I think about YouTube, thumbnails, and how no one can be truly happy without 1m subscribers on their YouTube channel. But one question I grappled with this morning was what are my guiding principles? What makes a happy business and life for me?...
I have a semi hot take on AI for you. And it's significantly reduced my AI anxiety (ainxiety?). It started a month or so back when Claude dropped their new tool Claude Design. Every man and his dog started making videos about how you could edit your entire YouTube video with it in less than 4 seconds. And suddenly my peanut-sized monkey brain throws up all sorts of stupid thoughts: "Should I be doing? Should all my clients be using this? Should I learn everything there is to know about Claude...
It took me over a year to make my first $1,000 on YouTube. And looking back, that was unnecessary. Knowing what I know now, I think I could have done it in 30 days. Maybe not the 30 days after posting my first video because there were so many skills I needed to learn to make videos. But 3-6 months in, if I HAD to make $1,000 in 30 days I know I could have done. But I just had no idea what I was doing. I thought YouTube money came from AdSense, sponsors and from affiliate links. I spent so...
