"Tintin, I'm struggling to know which business model to double down on?" I was on a group call the other week with some YouTubers. And one of them was asking me about their business model. They felt like they had the wrong one. And another one said “I’m doing 1:1 coaching, but after watching one of your videos I’ve been group coaching pilled”. Which I thought was funny. I do indeed want to group coaching pill as many YouTubers as possible (I think that's the right use of 'pill'?) I responded: “Yeah it’s totally normal, basically every entrepreneur I know has some kind of ‘business model anxiety’” It’s true… You know how some people get “social anxiety” or “health anxiety” or “is-this-is-the-right-thumbnail-holy-shit-what-if-it’s-not-why-the-hell-did-I-become-a-YouTuber anxiety”… Well, when you sign the document to officially become an entrepreneur, they inject you with a lethal dose of business model anxiety. It’s like the opposite of a vaccine. It's an instant illness. You’re not allowed to become a business owner without business model anxiety. It’s part of the process. But fortunately, I’ve seen a thing or two about the best business model for YouTubers. So let me lay it out for you. Most YouTubers should aim to sell something “high ticket” which generally means $1,000+ or more. And if you’re doing that, this is the order of business models that generally works best.
That’s the flow. Nice and simple. Doing 1:1 is important because:
But after doing lots of 1:1, you start to notice patterns. You understand what really matters. You learn what your customers really need. That’s when you can progress to a group cohort. And eventually, you run an “always on” programme like I do. This is the most scalable coaching business model, so assuming you want to continue to grow your business, it’s something to aspire to. Now if you’re getting lots of views (at least 100,000 monthly views or more) or you have a bigger email list (at least 10,000 emails or more) then you can consider something lower ticket, which generally means less than $500. And your options are:
Now you can of course do either of these things with a smaller audience, but it’ll be harder to make a full time income. You’ll need to grow your monthly YouTube views and email list as much as possible. So, hopefully that clears a few things up? When in doubt, start with 1:1 coaching. Whack a Calendly link as the first link in your video description, and Bob's your uncle you’re on your way. And you’ll be queuing up for an injection of business model anxiety in no time. And just a heads up, I read (and try to get back to) every single reply to these emails, so if you’ve got thoughts about this one just let me know. Tintin 🫡 P.s. Bloody hell, it’s Q2. I never used to think or care about quarters, but now that I’m a fully fledged Business Bro, I have to. It’s in the manual you get given at Business Bro initiation. Along with the requirements to go gym and make content. But I'm excited about Q2, because we’ve just ticked off a big project in the business, and freed up a lot of time. I started 2026 thinking I was going to go all in on content to grow my audience. And that’s what I did...for about 2 weeks. Something felt...

This is one of my favourite Hormozi quotes I've been dwelling on recently. It's taken on a new meaning for me. For a long time, I only understood this intellectually. "Sure, if I repeat the same...
